The Final Home Week Is Here.
Two more at Alvernia. Then that’s a wrap on 2026.
Philadelphia Lone Star this Wednesday, the home finale Saturday. Come send them off.
It’s the last week of the season, Reading United family. Two matches remain on home soil at Alvernia, and we want the 610 out in force for both. The men host Philadelphia Lone Star on Wednesday, we close out the home schedule Saturday, and, oh yes, we clinched the inaugural Keystone Derby on Sunday (more on that below). One more big week in red and gold. Let’s make it count.
WEDNESDAY · JULY 8 · 7:00 PM · ALVERNIA
Philadelphia Lone Star at Alvernia
USL2 Men vs Philadelphia Lone Star FC, Wednesday, 7:00 PM (Alvernia University). Reading (5-5-2) hosts a Lone Star side (4-7-1) that returned to USL2 this year and arrives on a five-match losing streak, exactly the kind of desperate visitor that bites. And we’ve got a score to settle: the last meeting between these two produced seven goals and a 4-3 Lone Star win in Philadelphia. Time to return the favor at home.
This is our second-to-last game of the season. Playoffs are out of reach, but pride isn’t. Let’s pack the Alvernia turf and send the men out strong in front of their home crowd. Gates open at 6:00 PM.

SATURDAY · JULY 11 · ALVERNIA · LAST HOME GAME
The Home Finale: Reserves vs LVU
Our Reserves close the season at home Saturday, taking on Lehigh Valley United in Mid-Atlantic Conference play. This is the last home match of 2026 for Reading United, your final chance to catch the red and gold at Alvernia before summer wraps and our players head back to their college rosters.
Best part? Admission is FREE. It’s been a summer to remember in the 610, so bring the family, bring your voice, and give this group the send-off they’ve earned. Kickoff time to be announced, so keep an eye on our socials.
SUNDAY, JULY 5 · KEYSTONE DERBY · CLINCHED
Derby Won: Reading Takes the Keystone
USL2 Men 3-2 at PA Classics (Sun, July 5). In a weather-shortened Derby thriller, the men dug out a gritty 3-2 win to clinch the inaugural Keystone Derby, 7-4 on points across the season series. Down 2-0 early, Reading roared all the way back.
Jake Thomas headed one home off an Isaac Stanley free kick, Adrian Kang Hagman leveled it with a header from a Zeke Zambrano cross, and Santiago Apolaro buried a stoppage-time half-volley off a slick Takanashi assist to win it. That’s how you take a rivalry. The Keystone stays in Reading.
A PROUD GOODBYE TO THE USMNT
The U.S. bowed out of their home World Cup on Monday, falling 4-1 to Belgium in the Round of 16, with Malik Tillman’s free-kick strike the lone bright spot. A tough way to go, but what a run and what a summer for the game in this country. The tournament rolls on, and so do we.
FIFA FAN ZONE · BACK JULY 18 & 19
We Were There. Look For Us Again.
The official FIFA World Cup Fan Zone at Santander Arena lit up downtown Reading over the July 4th weekend, and yes, it was HOT, but the 610 showed up big and so did we. If you missed us, you get another shot: the Fan Zone returns for its final two days, July 18 and 19, with the World Cup on the big screen, live bands, food, vendors, and family soccer.
Reading United will be back too, so look for our player appearances and giveaways. It’s all FREE, but you’ll need to register for each day you plan to attend.
