Rich Kessler
Head Coach
Reading United AC is proud to announce the promotion of Rich Kessler to Head Coach of the club’s USL2 men’s team after previously serving as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach since 2021. He succeeds Casey Moore, who recently transitioned to the newly established position of Sporting Director following five seasons at the helm.
Kessler becomes the 11th men’s 1st team head coach in Reading United’s storied 30-year history. Reading United’s upcoming USL2 season schedule will be released in March 2026.
Currently, he is an assistant coach at Temple University. Coached previously at La Salle University and is currently the Director of Goalkeeping at FC Delco.
Kessler is an alumni of Alvernia soccer program. After college, he saw time outdoors in the NPSL with FC Reading Revolution and indoors with Philadelphia Kixx and Baltimore Blast of the MASL.
Keith Conway
Assistant Coach
Keith Conway joined the Reading United coaching staff as a Men’s USL2 Asst in 2024. Coach Conway’s extensive experience includes coaching professionally in the U.S. since moving from Ireland in 2019. Coach Conway is the current head coach for Rosemont College, a Division II school in Rosemont, PA.
Coach Conway previously coached at Alvernia University as the Assistant Men’s coach and as an assistant coach for the Ursinus Men’s Soccer team.
At the youth club soccer level, he is currently the College Prep Assistant Technical Director at West Mont United Soccer Club, and coaches the Boys 2008 and 2013 teams. Previously, he has held several leadership positions including Technical Director at another King of Prussia Soccer Club as well as being the Head JV Coach of Bishop Shanahan High school in Downingtown. He owns a soccer coaching business called Innovate Sports LLC Coach Conway also holds a FA Talent ID Level 1 certification from The Football Association!
Coach Conway was an Irish High School Physical Education and English teacher for six years. His formal education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Education. He has over 10 years of soccer coaching experience in Ireland and holds several licenses from UEFA, the Football Association of Ireland, as well as a USSF C license.
