USL2 Match Preview: vs LVU Rush

July 12th

Reading United AC Men’s 1st Team (3-5-3) plays their final home game of the 2025 season tonight as they take on LVU Rush (2-6-3) on Fan Appreciation Night.

2: In their previous game, Reading United bested the Ocean City Nor’easters 2-1 with the game winner coming in the 90th minute from Berks County native, Conrad Weiser grad, and Albright college student Martin Ramsay. It was Ramsay’s first USL2 goals in only his second appearance.

14: Just 14 short days ago, Reading United faced LVU Rush at home with Reading taking the points 4-2. It was Reading’s strongest offensive performance of the season.

6: After struggling to find the back of the net for much of the season, Reading United has scored six goals in their last two games. The team hopes the offensive breakout continues.

8: Eight players from our USL Academy team have been promoted and rostered for at least one 1st Team game this season including Owen Auchenbach, Levi Christie, Luke Harper, Owen Lichtenwalner, Mason Lillis, Davin Millisock, Martin Ramsay, and Jacob Thomas.

3: With a win tonight, Reading can close the season on a 3-game winning streak. The late-season success, combined with the promising development of our academy players, signals good things ahead.

30: Tonight’s match not only caps the 2025 season but also Reading United’s 30th year of existence. As a thank you to our fans (who showed up during some crazy weather this year), all Reading United gear is 30% off. Stop by the merch stand!

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM at Alvernia University.
