On Track – RUAC by the Numbers: RUAC USL2 at Ocean City Nor’easters

Reading United AC Men’s 1st Team (2-4-1) travel to the Jersey Shore for the latest installment of one of the league’s longest-running rivalries when it takes on the Ocean City Nor’easters (7-0-0). 

10: Just 10 days after their last meeting, Reading United and Ocean City will square off again. The Nor’easters claimed the first matchup of the season with a 2-0 victory at Alvernia University. 

2: In its last match, Reading United split the points in a 2–2 draw against Real Central NJ, a back-and-forth result that saw both sides find the net twice in a competitive Mid-Atlantic clash. 

7: The Ocean City Nor’easters remain perfect through seven matches this season, sitting atop the Mid Atlantic Division with a 7-0-0 record, most recently defeating Real Central NJ 4-1. 

6:  Reading United has scored 6 goals across its last two matches after managing just 5 goals in its first five, showing a clear increase in attacking production heading into the rematch with Ocean City. The recent uptick in scoring suggests the offense is beginning to find its rhythm, with hopes of carrying that momentum into another breakout performance at Carey Stadium. 

24: Reading United has earned 24 victories in 62 all-time meetings with Ocean City, trailing the Nor’easters by just two wins. The series record stands at 26-24-12.

30: The rivalry between Reading United and Ocean City has lasted more than 30 years, making it one of the longest-running matchups in all of USL.
