Undefeated United Return Home To Face LVU
Reading looks to remain undefeated in 2022 play with a home match against LVU

READING, PA (May 31, 2022) – Reading United returns home for a two-game homestand this week, fresh off the heels of grabbing a point on the road against Real Central New Jersey to remain undefeated through the first four games of the young season. Reading kicks off the pair of games against Lehigh Valley United for a second time this season on Thursday evening beginning at 7:00pm at Alvernia University.
Salvation Army and Helping Harvest will be in attendance for 610 Night, as well as primary sponsor H&K Group, who will be bringing its CAT Simulator Trailer for fans to experience. the state-of-the-art trailer that houses H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) Mobile Caterpillar Heavy Equipment Simulators, which offer a high-tech, dynamic and mobile heavy equipment training experience that can be implemented anywhere at any time. Reading is coming off of a 0-0 tie on the road against Real Central New Jersey that saw the visitors outshoot the hosts by an 11-4 margin. Marten Imping and Sam Hershey took three shots apiece to pace Reading, while Trevor Manion made three stops in net to preserve the scoreless draw.
A 1-1 stalemate saw Lehigh Valley steal a point from Reading in the team’s season opener in the first meeting of three between the two sides. Maxime Correia struck first for Reading in the 24th minute, compliments of a feed from Ryan Becher. LVU answered back before the final whistle, netting the game-tying goal in the 93rd minute of play to walk away all level.
United plays host again on Saturday evening, as longtime rival Ocean City Nor’easters come to town to tangle with Reading beginning at 7:00pm at Alvernia.
